I have never had a present from my husband in all 36 years of marriage, for birthday, wedding anniversary, Valentine's Day, or Christmas. But every single day of all those years, I have woken up each morning to the gift of his presence, as a friend, partner, buddy, brother, companion and #1 fan. He has been true to his vows, constant in his loyalty, and steadfast in his love and support. When I have wanted something within the range of our resources, he has not denied it, and I have never asked for anything I knew was beyond us . He has given me a hundred per cent of himself in every way from the moment we walked back down the aisle of the church, and out into the world to begin our life together. Alongside all of this, there is no material thing, no petty object, no piece of "merchandise" that could ever match it in value.
We have an anniversary coming up on 9th February, and pretty much the way he always has, on that morning, he'll look at me and grin, and say "hey pal, wanna go again" and, as usual, I'll grin back and say "why stop now?" or some such goofy comment. And then we will go about our same daily routine in the life we have built for ourselves, feeling quietly grateful that we have been blessed with so much that cannot possibly be valued in commercial currency.
When one of us goes out without the other, it is a habit to bring back a "nicey" I'm a strawberry addict, so when he finds a juicy tub of strawberries, he'll bring one home. He loves Reece's chocolate peanut butter "cups". I'll bring some of those home. Or on both sides, just a little something that, over time, we have learned is the other one's "favorite something". There doesn't have to be a "date on the calendar" as a reason to give a small gift. There doesn't have to be a personal anniversary either. Every day we wake up in the morning with the other one beside us is reason enough, and gift enough, to be thankful for another 24 hours of togetherness.

I don't know how long you all have been together or your circumstances etc. I would tell him, you would like a day dedicated to you . A day at the spa, with Malibu treatment, tan, nails, back rub, body wrap, tanning etc. Then he should meet you with an outfit picked with his taste to take you to dinner in. He fell in love with you an individual and that kinda covers both sides. The you and the us. Good luck and hope you both have a great Valentines Day.

Why not a gift certificate to a spa that you and your BF could enjoy it together. If the spa is too costly, then settle for manicure/pedicure.
