If it was rape by a stranger who attacked me, I'd tell the police and my family. Then see a doctor.
If it was date rape, I would tell my parents if I were under 18. They would need to pursue any possible charges. If I were over 18 and it was date rape, I'd still probably tell my family and of course go to the doctor. But trying to prove date rape to the court would probably be futile, so I doubt if I'd report it to the police. I'd have to get a lot of support and advice from my family to go through with reporting it then.

Tell someone you trust. If this just happened go to the hospital ER. If it has been a while back then make an appt to see a doctor so you can get some tests run to make sure you are disease free. Reporting it to the police is a choice that you are going to have to make. It is difficult to make a rape charge stick and the victim has to go through alot but if rapes are never reported no one would ever get charged and it will be one more out on the streets to strike again. I just want you to know that I do believe you and anyone who doubts your statement are just ignorant to the fact on how often this happens. Whatever you do please tell someone and get some counseling or this will haunt you and perhaps even the generation after you if you don't get help!

hmmmmmm not sure if this is just a general question, or if it has happened for real. The first thing you do is contact the police, or a crisis hotline. They will help the person, to get the help she needs to find the person who did it, and hopefully lock them up, and also get her the proper medical help.. Rape is not the end of the world, but it sure feels like it.

The police and the hospital staff where you go and get the rape kit performed on you.
If you feel comfortable with your parents you can tell them.
