I mean the ones they have when they are asleep and not their aspirations. Some people go into such detail. Its very hard to sound interested, I find, although I understand their fascination with it. I dream myself ! Maybe I should ask instead how to make the telling of your dreams interesting.

My guilty admission: Oh God Yes!

I hate that they don't seem to be able to recount the dreams with any degree of conciseness. They are all over the place, and keep repeating unhelpful phrases such as "It was so weird." "It was so strange." "It was so surreal." -- Well DUH -- IT WAS A DREAM

Sometimes they're interesting but if I'm told of them day after day, I'd get sick of it. Or, I used to have a friend who I had four hour long phone conversations with as she told me about her "dreams," which were actually daydreams. She made up these elaborate stories that were completely pathetic. Example:
She got hit by a car and some boy she likes visited her in the hospital, professed his undying love, then some other kid she likes comes in and the two get into a fight, yadda yadda yadda.
Maybe when some people tell their (true) dreams, they're not storytellers and have a hard time telling stories. I know that I myself have a very difficult time spinning a yarn on the spot, even if it's to a friend. I'm more skilled at storytelling through writing than speech, so any story from my mouth with be butchered and probably not a lot of fun. Maybe, or maybe dreams just weren't meant to be articulated.

All dreams are beautiful and make life less boring. If people cannot make their stories intersting now, they may improve with people's encouragement. That is life. No flocks can gather only perfect people or people of only one taste.

Yeah, it is, but sometimes when Ive had a vivid dream I like to tell my friends about it - and I give them the same courtesy when they talk about boringish things to me.

Yes. I know precisely what you mean. I have had dreams that were so memorable to me, but if I told them, the narrative would be QUITE boring.

I think it's because it's easier to have an interpretation for your own than what it is for others. dreams I find have messages that are personal to you.

I don't mind if it is a quick one only not when it becomes long winded with every detail

Sometimes they're boring, but a lot of times (especially in high school) they're really funny and really juicy.
