I think football is the only one that should have a single-game championship. Though if the NBA did have just one game, my Sixers would've beaten the Lakers in '01, so maybe I should reconsider!

I can see where you're coming from on that one... But I, for one, like watching series matchups. In the NFL, teams are always getting blown out in the playoffs. In the NBA, if a few games are lost, teams have a chance to redeem themselves. But then again it kind of ruins the competitiveness of the event.

no basketball is different you need a series of 7 games to determine which team is better. usually in the nba the better team wins flukes usually happen in one game playoffs or championship games

No way. It's great the way it is. It's much more exciting and memorable. Now the only thing is, I wish the NBA was still on NBC. Then it would be perfect.

no because in basketball possessions change so frequently unlike in football where you can have the ball for 5+ minutes. scoring changes very frequently in basketball so its better to have a series because someone can throw a half court shot and bank it in and they would advance on a lucky attempt.

Yes, but think of the money the teams make - gate, concessions, parking, souvenirs - and tell me - would YOU pass up the opportunity to earn those extra $$$?

hell no what if you cant hit **** one game and the next game your on fire i mean if they only played 16 games it be fine but no they need to decide to see who can adjust to the other team in those possible 7 games i mean see if you can adjust to beat the other team

no i dont believe so cuz sometimes teams get into a bad tempo. and then there is the home court and stuff like that.

i dunno. maybe. i for one like the series thing. if a team has a bad day, they can bring it in and win the next game, putting them back in it. i think that it should stay the way it is
