I agree. There are cool comfortable ways to dress at the gym that don't require looking like your wearing undies. Some women just like to flaunt it, and then there are others that got it and don't feel the need to dress trashy. That's called class and I'm afraid there aren't to many of us left! I think it's especially trashy for women with children to dress this way.

Sorry Ms Wendy.
There was a time when the women's clothes of today were immodest. And, come on, if your going to not give a hoot about modesty why not wear the birthday suit when working out.
When some women spread the legs when exercizing there ain't but about 1 inch of modesty in their crotch. More than likely there is more on the top-end the on their rear-end.
I'll have to give it to Jim on this one He makes a very good point.
Women cry that women should have the right to go topless because the men do. (I do not agree). In all actuallity the ones doin the cryin would be to embarrassed to be topless themselves.
Come on, we're not even built the same.
There is an attraction towards a women body, ever since Adam saw Eve. When the woman's body is on display Men are going to look. That is never going to change.
The Feminists say, well don't look.
It's the same as advertising. If you don't want people coming to see. Then don't put it on display.

Okay, I could agree with you except your examples are way off. What else are marathon runners of any sex supposed to wear? The men don't wear much, either, and of course the women dress to stay comfortable. Who cares about modesty when your running that long in that kind of heat? And the same could be true at the gym. I see plenty of guys in their "short shorts" peeling off their muscle shirts in a very "contrived" way, too...so what's the difference?

Um, because they're hot and sweaty and they want to keep cool?
I see plenty of men running without shirts on, well, I see men without shirts on doing yard work, and hanging out outside. So why not ask why men have an irresistable urge to take their clothes off too?
I think it's pretty freakin' pathetic to see woman as anything less than a human being just because their bodies are showing. It's just a body.

Flexibility, staying cool, so that excess heat can be gotten rid of. Personally, the Roman gym is not such a bad idea. It would tend to keep those working out cooler, and have less to have to wash after the work out. In the Roman gym, the athletes were nude. How a person views someone else is based on their personal bias and values. For myself, I don't care, nude, or fully dressed, he or she should be viewed with, as well as believed that, they are worthy of my respect for them as a person.

I've never understood that urge. Even if you "have the body" I was raised to always leave SOMETHING to the imigination.

I don't let anything "hang out". I know what you mean though. However, many women are slaves to fashion. Many fashion designers are men. There you go............
