It depends. I just bought my daughter a pair of DKNY jeans. The regular price was 40.00. I caught them on sale for 12.00. She's only 10. There is no way I would pay 40.00 for a pair a jeans for a 10 yr old. They grow to fast. I buy her nice stuff, I just catch it on sale. So, the answer to your question would be not if you find it on sale.

DKNY is the cheaper line from Donna Karan. (You can choose DKNY or Donna Karan.) So even though it costs a bit less than Donna Karan, DKNY is still expensive.

How does a $125 leopard print and lace camisole sound to you?
That's DKNY for you! =]
You decide.

Define "expensive". It's all relative to how much money you have and are willing to spend.
