I'm not clear whether you are guy or gal, but regardless, YES! it's absolutely normal....I have found the older I've gotten (I'm 33) it's definitely more the norm for both men and women....Personally, when I'm with a partner, I don't want all that pubic hair um, involved in sexual activity, if you know what i mean.

The hardest part is figuring out what way works best for you--shaving with a razor, professional waxing, waxing at home, products like Nair, you may have to experiment to find out what works best for you and doesn't cause bumps and redness. It may feel a little strange after you first do it, but you get used to it!

(IF you are a woman, you will appreciate this: I will never forget after the first time I shaved completely and had a gyno appointment 2 days later. I was so nervous about seeing her and thinking she would think i was some crazy sexual deviant or whore, or ??? I ALMOST canceled my appointment. When i got there, i got up all my nerve before the exam and said "Doctor, I need to tell you something.....(gulp!) ...I shaved. DOWN THERE." She held back her laughter and smiled at me, making me realize that this was clearly no big deal and i knew then she had probably seen patients shaved a million times...) :)

i'm a woman and that i did no longer shave as a virgin and that i nonetheless do no longer now that i'm sexually experienced. i prefer to look extra like a girl and much less like a woman. You hear for all time approximately females who shave and what an maintenance it relatively is. Shaving rash, ingrown hair, nicks and cuts. in case you bypass 2,3, or 4 days without shaving the itchiness is probably going insufferable. I even have by no potential had any of those issues simply by fact i've got by no potential completed it yet have heard somewhat some frightening thoughts from different females who do. For me that on my own makes it no longer worth it plus I also have a b/f who completely loves that I shop my pubic hair. additionally the hair grows there to maintain out risky germs and micro organism that would desire to head into via that portion of your physique. It would not entice those issues as many misinformed people think of. additionally many think of that pubic hair is unhygienic that's additionally untrue. in case you have stable popular and thorough bathing behavior you will by no potential have a issue with hygiene there.

It is normal for women to shave. Buy an electric shaver, and use some baby powder with it. Then, use some products from Bikini Zone if you have any problems. You can use hydrocortisone cream too. I don't recommend a manual razor. It will cause ingrown hairs and you might break out into a rash. You can buy the Seiko Cleancut Shaver. It's the best pubic hair shaver out there. There are also cheap imitations like Body Bare. Go ahead and shave it all off. Feel sexy and clean. You won't miss any of that hair after it's gone.

Im assuming you are male...

first off, who cares whats normal or not! Do what makes YOU happy.

But anyways... im female and I dont know a whole bunch of guys who shave it, but I do know some who have (not reguarly) it will make your pubes harder and cause ingrowns... i hear it makes balls itch mroe than they already do.

I suggest that you trim it... a lot of it can be kinda icky... but

your unsanitary comment is kinda wrong as a whole... The reason women have that hair is to catch bacteria and dust from entering the vagina... thats also what a$s hair is for and nose hair etc...

If you remove it though, Id wax it, the hair grows back slower and softer.

No, it was not normal to shave pubic hair, but it has become a practice for a few decades, because us ladies like to keep neat and trim, especially in a bikini. I don't remove all of it, guys seem to like a little mystery, but I do trim and shave here and there. If you shave all of it I can almost guarantee miserable itchy shave bumps. This is a TENDER area, too tender for red bumps

Now that all the dust has setted, we can get serious. 1st & last, NO! you are not supposed to shave pubic hair! Nature has a good reason for giving you hair on your vulva. Nature also gave you menses ; that is not exactly sanitary either however you are always fine so get over this stupid obsession if having pubic hair, GROW UP be MATURE girl.. Your pubic hair was meant to be between your legs.. DEAL WITH IT !

It's not abnormal to shave your pubic area. It's a personal preference so don't feel bad about it if it makes you more comfortable.
