It rocks. Okay, how can you not like it? I mean, sure, you're a girl, but the sports industry makes millionares. Without it, then half the guys wouldn't have anything to do. Guys revolve around sports. It's a winner, a loser; nothing else counts. It's a guy thing; I don't expect you to understand.
I love you, though.

For the most they are all overrated. It is a good outlet for many, while others take it much too seriously. I think the participants are way over paid though. Let them get out and make a living like the rest of us. On the hand, the venues do generate a lot of revenue for the respective local economies. I guess, like everything else, good and bad.

I work as an athletic trainer. I think it is great. I think that there are some athletes that are over-rated (like Michael Jordan) and I think that there are too many people that don't realize that the athletes are just that, people. There is a need for some rules changes in sports. I think that everyone on teams should be drug tested every week. (just an example.)

Sports give people something to have a "passion" for. Having a passion for something, whether it is football, fishing, NASCAR, reading, photography - anything - gives more meaning to your life.
