Skirts better. I"ve been looking for a new dress but having a hard time. So for now, skirts are just more versatile.

Well I wear dresses when I have to dress up. I do have some skirts but I tend to not know how to match so if it's a dress I don't have to worry about it.

Skirts, except for formal occasions. Skirts are more flexible, you can dress them up or down. And skirts are easier to fit and wear comfortably. (One of your answers mentions a large chest making dresses hard to find--those of us with hips larger than our chests have the same problem!)

Skirts. My top is larger than my bottom. And I have a long torso. Although, I can wear empire waisted dresses without a problem.

dresses, simple one piece that you don't have to worry about the pair or the other parts. i really love to wear tight dresses and usually that shows legs and curves.
i used to love skirts when i used to dress up at work, except it's hard to find a nice match to make it look great. i love the slits and pencil cut.
