New Alocasia- need advice?

I have an alocasia that was spawned from my original, it is now about 3 inches tall and the leaf is about to unfurl, how long should I keep it in the plastic bag that I am using as a green house before I let it live in the open air?

Does it have roots of it's own or is it still connected to the mother plant?
If it has a substantial looking root, I would plant it in some potting soil. If it looks like it still wants the higher humidity you can invert a glass jar over it for a couple more weeks.
