There are many books on the subject...you should read one yourself to actually get first-hand accounts from survivors. The stories they have to tell are horrifying but eye-opening to what humans have done to one another in the past (and continue to do to one another across the globe today). Many Jewish children were sent to gas chambers immediately upon arriving to concentration camps, if they were under 16. They were considered to be too weak to have an purpose for the nazis. I'm not sure if policies varied from camp to camp, because I know some children did survive somehow. Also some children were hidden by kind non-Jews who risked their lives in doing so. These children sometimes didn't even find out until late in their lives what their true origins were. A book with poems etc. written by children during the holocaust is http://www.amazon.com/I-Never-Saw-Another-Butterfly/dp/0805210156/ref=pd_sim_b_1/104-5885974-5953518

I suggest that you narrow the scope of your report otherwise it can be summed up by the statement, "Many children died during WWII and many other children lived". Anne Frank, the authoress of the famous diary, died from typhus. Other documents show that children born at Auschwitz had a remarkably low mortality rate. Apparently the Germans provided excellent maternity care at the camp so that they would have lots of babies to use for target practice and for burning alive as claimed by some holocaust survivors. Thousands of children died in the allied fire-bombing raids of Dresden and Hamburg but they were Germans. Try http://codoh.com

almost all were dead
but some were not killed i can say this because just a few weeks ago my school teacher told us about a man (sorry i cannot remember the name) who lived and he had made avisit to Japan who actually found him.
well it's a long story (i hope u haven't heard about it) so here it goes
a japanese girl was making an exhibition about the holocaust children and she wrote to almost all the country of europe to place sth for her exhibition. Every one said it was too valuable to send her anything, but a musuem(again i do not remember the name) send her a small suitcase where the name of a child i perhaps i think her name was hanna . the other japanese student were excited to know about her so they wrote to some european states and requested to find about her. after lots of trouble they spotted her and found ot that she was killed except her big brother. then they started lookin for the brother and finally spotted him in (oh i 4got) somwhere in europe and asked him to visit the exhibition in Japan. they had a lovely exhibition then
well if u want to find more thingss in detail there's a book published about this girl.....
the name of the book is 'hanna and her suitcase' sth like that
it was a heart touching story....i almost cried
anyways i hope it is useful and u might have not heard about it already (fingers crossed)
sorry but i 4got lots of names but i hope this will help u
i hope it is reliable with ur report
best of luck with the report :)

Most were ripped from their parents' hands or arms and killed , some shot in front of a parent . Others were horribly mutilated in morbid experiments . A few went into hidng with their families and eventually got asylum in other countries ..or were captured and ended up exterminated . Young German boys were turned into soldiers . The Nazi's bred children , trying to build the perfect race .A good book to read is , "The Diary of Anne Frank "; about a young girl who went into hiding with her family and finally ended up in the ovens at the concentration camps .

I sure hope you don't type your report like you typed your question. ;-)
Since no one else is able to give your sources for their supposed "factual information", I recommend The Barnes' Review's all-Holocaust issue, which can be purchased as a back order from their website for about $8 and some of the article are available online for free.

Check out the factual movie "Schindler's List" to see what rotten things the Nazis did to children. The little girl in the red coat especially.
