Because hollywood is run primarily by straight men who cater solely to the teenage straight boy mentality. Straight teen boys want to see guys getting hit in the groin more than they want to see the actual groin.
This is also why there are rarely women stars over the age of 40. As soon as Meg Ryan passed that mark, her career tanked, even though she was America's Sweetheart all through the 90's.

Because there ain't much to see there hehe. I think it's because it's not a stick out object the female can get shown. I think also because it helps get the males into a cinema.
