the part where he tells his mothers jewish boyfriend about Rodney King from his perspective. He speaks a lot of truths that people don't want to admit too.

I love this movie. My favorite part is when he (Edward Norton) puts the guys mouth over the curb and slams his head into it.

This movie made me cry in the end. (One of the few that has). The shooting is extremely powerful.
However, the line "bite the curb" is very memorable. I probably like that part the best because it resonates the most.

To me the most powerful scene is when Sweeney comes to visit Derek after he's been raped.
Sweeney: There was a moment... when I used to blame everything and everyone... for all the pain and suffering and vile things that happened to me, that I saw happen to my people. Used to blame everybody. Blamed white people, blamed society, blamed God. I didn't get no answers 'cause I was asking the wrong questions. You have to ask the right questions.
Derek: Like what?
Sweeney: Has anything you've done made your life better?
Very powerful scene right there.

When Avery Brooks is visiting Edward Norton in the prison hospital and asks him what he has done to make his life better. It's a question pretty much all of us could ask ourselves. It made me think.

My favorite part in the movie is when edward norton is in prison with his black friend, and the black guy starts to talk to himself in racial slurs. It is funny. It is cool that that is kind of how he won edwards character over.
