Well, it's disputed whether Hitler ever actually personally killed even one person...except himself. But most reputable scholars estimate that the number of deaths he is responsible for by waging a war against Jews and other innocents is:
5,574,000 Jews and a total of 62,537,800 world-wide.
Each one of them a living, breathing, soul-bearing child of God. It's beyond comprehension.

Venin_Noir...read these...signed by ole' Dolf himself...and then tell me that he wasn't singling out the Jews!

I think we can all agree that life is important, significant, and worth protecting. By life, of course, we don't mean the spores you breathe in or the branches you prune from an overhanging tree, the vegetables in your soup or, for most people, even the cow your steak was butchered from. A fertilised egg is about as alive as plankton. The fetus does not develop any level of sentience until the third trimester, at about the time it's viable, at which point abortion is illegal unless the mother's life or health is seriously threatened. Clearly it would be wrong to arbitrarily demand the sacrifice of one life for another in that situation, and it must be a horrifying decision for women in that position to make. A growing ball of cells is not a human child. You cannot hold it in your arms. It cannot breathe or think. 80% of fertilisations abort naturally at some stage. If you can't grasp this, I suggest you stop advocating legal compulsion for women to act as unwilling incubators.

Hitler did not personally kill anyone. At the camps, many efforts were undertaken to keep prisoners alive and well. However, the war cut off many supply lines, leaving the camps without food. Most died of starvation or from typhus which was rampant in the camps. Whether or not those people were Jews is irrelevant, unless you are a racist who thinks a Jewish life is more valuable than any other.
Edit:
Melissa O- I don't know how much you've researched about the camps, but I've done a fair bit of study on them for several years, as this is a historical interest of mine.
The camps were originally set up as rehabilitation and reeducation centers. Those people who were deemed to be anti-social elements were sent there to be taught how to be a good German citizen. These people included criminals, the unemployed, and those who presented a threat to the country, primarily communists (Germany was fighting the USSR, too) and Jews (Jewish leaders had declared war on Germany six years prior to the actual start of WWII and encouraged Jews living in Germany to sabotage war efforts), among others.
At the camps, there were regular workdays with weekends off. Most worked to make products for the war effort and so it was essential that the inmates be kept healthy and fit so as not to affect productivity. Guards were not allowed to brutalise inmates and were expected to be models of good behaviour to demonstrate what an upstanding German citizen should be. People only began to die in mass numbers towards the end of the war when food and medical supplies were hard to get.
And yes, those who showed they had reformed themselves and would live according to German ideals were released. That includes Jews.
Feel free to read my other answers on similar topics for more in depth information (well, as in depth as you can get on Yahoo Answers, anyway).
Oh! The Humanity!- The Wikipedia article is so full of bias and misinformation that it would take me days to address everything wrong with it.

I don't think he killed any. A lot of people Jews included died during WWII, but I don't think that Adolf Hitler personally killed any of them.

I've never heard any other figure besides 6 million. A lot of people--think about it. Altogether he killed 12 million people (though i'm not POSITIVE about that particular number), I always heard he killed 6 million Jews along with 6 million other non-Aryans(gypsies, homosexuals, handicapped people)
EDIT--and venin-noir, your answer is absurd. How the hell did the nazis treat people in their camps, including Jews, in any way that would have benefitted them?

I believe it was about 5,750,000 (five million, seven hundred and fifty thousand) or something like that (somewhat less than 6 million, but more than 5 million).
