Why is it that we grow up to wear what we did as little girls again?

like when we were little we wore tights....now its fashion for older people (teenagers-women in their 20's and such) to wear them again. Its like we never grow out of them.

Arn't we suppose to be taken serious and not to taken like a little kid after a certain age?

i'm not a hippie. i bet money on it that hardly anyones avatar looks like them. i used to do that, now i got creative with mine.

it is a differnt kind of tights....and you arent wearing them with little frilly dresses with giant bows on them....you can still wear tights and be sophisticated

Fashion may repeat itself, but it is repeated with current flair, for example in the 80's black leggings were the rage and they were worn with flats or flat, baggy ankle boots, not the hoochie momma shoes that would probably be choosen today. When you get a little older you may find like many of us stylish ladies over 40 that wearing what you did decades ago (even updated) looks like you are trying too hard, or makes you look older. The trick seems to be finding updated, current things right for your age and body type. Flattering yourself however that is, probably is better than being a slave to fashion trends, looking trendy also makes you look insecure and unwilling to take a risk. Ciao
