You could also write what prompted you do draw or paint something, what your art makes you feel or think about, and what others think of your art.

An artists journal is one of the most important things they will ever write. That is how art historians (and now the rest of us) know what Leonardo da Vinci or Vincent van Gogh thought or were trying to accomplish with their art. So one thing you can write about is why you chose a particular project. Say what it means to you, or why you think the colors you chose are the best ones for you. Be sure to include what you learned from the project.

You could write in it like a journal/diary. Just anything that might come to your mind. How your day is going; Why you chose to draw/paint whatever you did that day; What you are planning for that week...anything really. You could write down problems that you are having and maybe when you go back to read it, you will find a solution!!

write about ideas you have for future art works. also, look at more artwork on the net, or in books. In your book you can comment and reflect on the art you have looked at.
