In theory you can use that funny money called the Euro here but actually we're still using proper money, i.e. Pounds.
Interestingly enough, other countries in Europe are going off the idea and their original currencies are making a comeback.

They are still using the Pound Sterling.They are still wet behind
the ears the Euro is the best Currency, most Countries in Europe have changed to the Euro. We can travel to most Countries without bothering about changing Currency, and we can see at a glance what is the best Value in Shopping in each others Country.
Furthermore the UK is very dear now to Visit and spend money in.

Great Britain uses Pounds sterling & we should keep them. Our banks won't make any money on currency exchange if we change to the Euro.

No, Britain still uses the pound sterling, and Denmark still uses the Danish krone apparently ...
It's a flipping nuisance when I have to go to Northern Ireland, as that's part of of the UK and they use the pound there ...
