i do have a pc with XP installed on it, when i turn on my machine it keeps restarting, it won't even go to XP page, and it won't let me start from the safe mode or last known good, can you help me with this problem?

pop in the disc choose the repair option after typing in the adminastrator password type in chkdsk /r it should take about an hour to run thru and with a little luck windows will start

There is something on it that it is protecting itself from .. xp is fab. I would clear all caches cookies and files.. delete anything in recycle bin .. do a antispy test. If all that doesn' work then go into Help and Support on start bar and undo system changes with restore to an earlier date. That should sort it out. But remember that each time a system restore is done it uses up some of your memory.. which is why you should only do that in exceptional circumstance..

forgot to say if you have virus checker test the systems first before the system restore.

oK..I think i know what's going on. IT happened to me a few weeks ago. You might have a CD inside. So next time it restarts open the tray. That's what was wrong with mine. Let me know if it worked...deia_bb@yahoo.com
