If I ask a question about anything, why do people behave this way or that way, people get pissed off and say I'm generalizing. Of course I am! Sometimes you have to generalize when you are asking questions. So why do people get so angry and scream "you're generalizing you're generalizing"?

If yo'ure asking disresepctful questions about groups of people then it's especially offensive if you disrespect everyone in that group. If you qualify your questions with words like "some", it comes across a little better. Also, overgeneralizing shows that you don't think things through very well. Disrespectful people who don't think things through are very annoying and can be a menace to society.
