Is there a better browser than the internet explorer?, and what's the verdict on firefox?. is it any good.

I rather liked the old IE. but the new one is horrible. the navigation is hard to use, and the security on IE is even worse.
I wasn't a Firefox fan, but the new one is simply amazing. I switched. Firefox is definitely the better pick.
In fact a lot of websites are starting to build to firefox requirements instead of IE.
If I were you, I'd definitely consider switching.

Opera and Firefox are both fine - if you really want to not use IE.
IE is attacked more by hackers as its used by most people - but they are all really much the same.

Firefox is GREAT! I have been using it for a long while and have "converted" a lot of family and friends. I absolutely love it!

I've tried them all, IE, Firefox, Opera. I use Opera mainly because of speed and its features (See: http://www.opera.com/products/desktop/ ) and the way they are implemented.

firefox is really good once i discovered it i stopped using IE

ie 7 is great if you disable the phishing filter and are virus and spyware free
