Oxymoron: two contradictory terms (wise fool)
Simile: a comparision between two unlike things using the word "like" or "as" ("fast as a cheetah")
Pun: a humorous play on words (I used to be a ballet dancer, but found it too-too difficult)
Metaphor: a comparision between two unlike things not using the word "like" or "as"
Hyperbole: an overexaggeration (This book weighs a ton)
Understatement: expressing an idea with less emphasis (for example, if you got your leg chopped off and said "it only hurts a little")
