The term "Space Shuttle" refers to a specific orbital vehicle that had not yet been developed at the time of the Apollo Program moon missions. The earlier programs involved more basic rocketry and did not use winged vehicles.

There are many web sites that contains information about the Apollo spacecraft and missions, with photographs, diagrams, and both technical and human interest information.

A good starting place is http://www.nasa.gov.

For much more, just do an internet search on "Apollo spacecraft."

BTW--the Apollo spacecraft and the Space Shuttle are two different space craft. Apollo is what was used to go to the moon. The Space Shuttle is the US spacecraft currently used for orbital flights--but cannot reach the moon.
