What emotions do you go through on the first day of a new job?

I just started an 'on the side' waitressing job on Friday. I was pretty nervous because I've never waitressed before and I'm not that crash hot at multi-tasking, nor do I thrive in high stress situations! But it turned out there was only one table of two people for the whole night... so I was more bored than anything else. But usually on the first day my main concern is whether I'm going to fit in with co-workers or not. I'm not exactly what you would call a social butterfly : )

I went through a lot of emotions. I just started working last week for the first time in 11.5 years. I was excited, nervous, unsure of myself, concerned that I wouldn't be able to remember what I was supposed to do, I also had concerns about how my kids would feel since I went back to work. It was a very different day for me but everything went smoothly and I did just fine.

I was a bit nervous on the drive there but fine when I walked through the door. Had a pretty good day all in all, although I'm feeling a bit drained from taking in so much new information.

Not sure on the YA sitch yet - I will have to bide my time!

I don't have that fear anymore thank God
because it can be very daunting & scary
& a lot of what IF"S & butter flies in the tummy
maybe thats why i stayed put for ages lol

I always have the jitters, sometimes an upset stomach. Its nerve wracking!

i usually feel high. i am probably nervous but it isn't obvious to the average joe. so i usually get along pretty well.
