No it's an examination where the doc puts a couple of fingers inside you and presses on your abdomen to feel your uterus and ovaries.

A pelvic examination is any kind of examination of the internal pelvic organs by using a speculum inserted in the vagina to open up the passage and then either using a camera or scanner or just the doc/nurse looking with a small torch. If it is for an ovarian problem they will probably use a key hole camera. Hope this helps and everything is OK.
