who the hell would build a stadium for one event?
the event will cost us up to £10billion ............................. and use only 25000 seats for football afterwards.
i understand if they reduce it only 20000 seats after the GAMES but this is just crazy

I'm sure the stadium will not go to waste. They will find another use for it. Besides, if the money is not used for that, it will be wasted on something else and the Olympics are worth it. The money drawn in by people going to see the Olympics will pay for that stadium. These structures are built all over the world and after the games, they are usually always used for something else. It would really be a waste if it was taken down after the games. If that was the case, then I would agree with you that it is a waste of money. The Olympics is a worldwide event and people will travel everywhere just to see them.

Agreed. finished waste. yet another celebration of our funds going to the south east / capital. everyone keep in recommendations the millennium dome? How about Wembley? How a lot will the Olympic Stadium extremely fee us?

People don't just build stuff like that for just two weeks of use. For example, the pool for the 1996 games is now being used by a Georgian university (I think it's University of Georgia but I'm not sure). I'm sure they'll have plans for the big stuff once the games get completed and everything will be fine.

i cant believe that just because of the olympics our lives are cut short not literally but that cost a lot of money that could be spent on the homeless,hurricane fix ups and so many more things that need fixed in the world but no the government spens al that money on stupid events that dont help anyone or anything in the world except for making people get gold medals they should be spending it on other things not the Olympics !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
