and he is really shy he said he would try and talk to me tomorrow because he had to go to class but the next day he didnt talk to me the next day he still didnt talk to me then the next day he said "zup"? in a sexy, deep voice i was to excited to respond so the next day i said whats up to him and he looked shocked and happy my friend asked him why he hasnt talked to me yet and he said he could do better he said he just liked me as a friend and nothing more my friends think we make a great couple because we are both really tall skinny and shy. i wanted to save myself from the embarressment so i told my friend to tell him that i didnt like him and that my friends were just trying to hook us up because we have a lot in common and that i dont like him at all. my friend told him that and he reacted strangely by saying in a concerned voice oh!? so im not sure if he likes me or not what should i do i dont want to pass this oppurtunity up HELP!!!

he probably lied to your friends. and really likes you ESPECIALLY if he is shy.,
he likes you.
and now he doesnt know how you feel.
he was probably all happy, and getting up his courage.
and then you being confused that he didnt likeyou telling your friends to tell him that you dont like him messed it all up!
thats why you do it yourself.
tell him you like him.
in a note if you must.
but dont go on and on explaining yourself.
you might get embarassed.
keep it short and sweet.
like the PERFECT one is
'will you be my valentine?'

It's hard, but you NEED to talk to him yourself. If he doesn't like you, then move on. I will say, though, that I know a very shy kid. I used to like him and I talked to him. It turns out he DIDN'T want to date me. Shy doesn't necessarily mean he likes you.
But really, he'll at least respect you more if he knows you've got that kind of confidence.

tell him the truth how u feel
u dont have to do it in public
u can do it over the phone or IM or by email.
u dont have to tell ur bff to do everything for you. that wouldnt be right.
he said "oh" that means hes surprised that u dont like him.
just tell him how u feel
and be yourself and he'll like u even more
