its not scary at all. when you go in you have to fill out information about yrself. then wait. whenthey call you in a nurse will sit you down ask you if youve ever had sex and stuff like that. he will weigh you then take you to a room where she will instruct you to take off yr clothes and put on a hospital gown. and to sit up on the table. after taht the doc should come in and greet you. she will ask you to lay back and place yr feet up on the stirups after that she will insert a little brush and gather some cells from the inside of yr vagina. ths may feel a little odd...but it is perfectly normal. what she is going to do is send that for testing to make sure you dont have cervical cancer, gonhorrea, or syphilus(sp?). after that she will insert two of her fingers and place her hand on the lower part of yr stomache and press down a little that is just to make sure there are no lumps or anything. then yr done. if yr going to get birthcontrol she will leave then come back with a pill pack and yr presciption. she will explain how to take the pills. ask you if you have any questions then you leave.

and thats it. its not scary at all.

well you go in and answer some questions
then u get undressed and your doctor comes back u pee in a cup and and ure doc looks at ure boobs and stuff then you lay down and ure feet are put in stirrups so u dont move them nd all then you slide ure butt down to the end of the chair
and ure doctor checks the outer part of ure vagina and thn the inner he puts in a speculum so he can see it. it is kinda painful but u have to let them do it , i woudlnt because my mom took me at an early age so i had to be held down by 3 nurses. then they take a pap smear they stick in a big/ long swab into the cervix or whatever and then send it to the lab to see if its normal or not.
overall this shudnt take more than like 15 mins.
as for the pain
i remember mine hurt a lottt.
my friend told me hers was really painful so the doc stopped hers but mine just hurt a lot and i had to be held down

i hurd some of the docs do rectal exams as well but not to me i think thats really rare

it is natural to be nervous. If you feel more comfortable having your mother in the room you can. She can stand next to you and hold your hand. I suggest to ask for a female doctor, this makes it less embarrassing feeling. Remember they do this every day, and all woman go through it you will be OK. Ask your mom about the procedure, she can explain it in full detail. Also I suggest to get the HPV vaccination. Good luck.

Nothing bad or scary happens. The worst part is the awkwardness of being un-clothed.
