Who was the best James Bond?

List your preference of actors who have played Bond .....best to worst.

Best - Sean Connery (The Classic, Never To Be Replaced)
Runner-Up - Pierce Brosnan (Captured the character, but not the essence of the novels)
Fairly Bad - Roger Moore (He never understood that he was no longer playing The Saint)
Flat Out Horrible - Timothy Dalton (Not great for the role, and hamstrung by Hollywood scared of presenting a traditional film Bond in the early days of AIDS)

While I abhor the entire movie character of James Bond I would have to say Sean Connery was the best. All the others to date have been the worst, I can't think of any that I could rate second. Thankfully I haven't watched all the James Bond films.

Hmm. I have not seen the new one with Daniel Craig so I couldnt tell you about him but I do like Sean Connery and when I was little I liked Pierce Brosnan.

I used to say Sean Connery until I heard an interview where he said he thought women should be pregnant and barefoot in the kitchen.

Roger Moore for his sense of humour.
The rest (note I have not yet seen the latest) are- erm, largely forgettable.

Probably depends on when you started watching it.

My dad's fave is Sean. My fave is Roger and George Lazenby because On Her Majesty's Secret Service is my fave (it had the beautiful Diana Rigg from the Avengers - oooo I love her!).

Then Pierce and Dalton.
