Contact the San Francisco Conservatory of Music for referrals.
They also have a web page and you can learn about the faculty.
It is not easy to find a classical guitar teacher that is properly qualify to teach the classical guitar. Many instructors teach all-styles of guitar playing including the classical guitar but their fees are the same as those charged by a classical guitar teacher that
perform classical guitar and not rock, folk, jazz, etc. Just like General Practicioners. If I am going to be paying $60./hr. I want the specialist in that type of guitar playing.
In the meantime for a beginner there are a pletora of excellent
methods available. Two very good ones are Aaron Shearer's
Classical Guitar Technique and John Mills's The Classical Guitar Tutor. Good Luck

Do you live in the San Francisco Bay Area? I took classical guitar lessons from Mission College in Santa Clara. The teacher was great, and it didn't cost much.

Good luck and have fun!
