For one thing, Earth's day may be shorter, since the Moon spiralling away from Earth has been robbing the Earth of angular momentum, slowing its rate of rotation. For another thing, the range of tides will be greatly diminished, since the tides on Earth with no Moon will be solar tides only. Finally, Earth's axial tilt will vary much more severely without the stabilizing presence of the Moon. As a result, the hypothetical Earth will experience much more dramatic shifts in climate.

We can see an excellent example of this effect by looking at Mars, which has experienced huge changes in axial tilt, due to the lack of a stabilizing large moon.

The stability of the earth's rotation would be all messed up. There would be no predictablitity of seasons as any part of the earth would be either exposed to the sun or to freezing space. Life would be impossible.

It would be bigger because the moon is just a big chunk of earth that was knocked off when a gargantuan asteroid glanced off the planet billions of years ago.

1. Tidal motions would be radically different. The moon affects this.

2. Nocturnal animals would have to adapt to having less light at night than currently, and the triggers for them to leave their caves would change.

3. Wind speeds would die down; since you have less tidal energy the disperation of heat would reduce.
