i personally hate AVG free because it's only about 80% accurate. if your computer is fairly new, i would go with norton.
use avira or mcaffee

AVG
Norton is okay when it comes to anti-spyware but it does NOTHING for malware or spyware. AVG does a little of everything and is by far the world's most powerful and effective anti-spyware remover.
The virus side of it isn't the greatest, but it still contends with Norton.

norton is proven to remove and detect more viruses than AVG free edition. If ur going for a free antivirus get AntiVir Personal Edition Classic 6.32. Its proven to be detect and remove more viruses than avg or any other free antivirus.

I personally like AVG, I seem to find move with it and it as a tracking cookie remover built in with Anti-spyware.

Actually, I use NOD32 from Eset. It works so much better than any other anit-virus. It has caught things the other programs won't. In fact, I started it nearly a year ago and have had no problems. It updates itself about every minute or less.

avg it works better than norton and dont hog your resources plus it actualy finds and removes viruses that norton cant find
