Yes, maybe a little strange. I can see why racists might "tickle" you though. I suppose that their ignorance can be down-right amusing at times. And you're probably right, a lot of this behavior does stem from envy, lack of knowledge and fear. I can't say that I'm flattered by this, but I do feel sorry for them. They are pitiful, aren't they??

I think I understand what you mean, racist people are usually motivated by one o two emotions; pity or intimidation. Have you ever notice how some of the racist people will try to obscure there beliefs with a "you blacks are just as human as the rest of us" type language and actions, while the more threaten ones will lash out hurling insults and such. This is a classic coping technique and a tool of the powerless. In fact those type of people wish they could pity you, but know better and instead try to project their own insecurities. Like you said it kinda "tickles" me too.

Sounds like being "flattered" is your way of trying not to get offended by racists. It's your brick wall and safe place against racist remarks. Which means you're easily offended, and you try extra hard not to be. I can read you like an open book.
