Insurance companies often make mistakes & offer less than the value of items insured.
They also look for many ways not to pay out.
Bank the cheques, if in your name & do what you want with your money.
Happy spending.

Do nothing for a couple of weeks, if they`ve sent you 2 cheques they might send you 3 or even 4.

Honestly just ask the company why they sent you the cheque for the amount that they did.. Maybe they estimated that the value was more.. If you speak to someone and they say that you can go ahead and cash it. Make sure you write down their first and last name and their extension and where their office is located. Just to cover yourself... If they sent you two checks and they are for the same amount then more than likely they sent you one by mistake, and you may not want to cash that one and just return it...

Just cash both the cheques. If they made a mistake take advantage of it. Insurance companies exist to be milked. They can't make you pay it back.

Go for it just cash both. Nothing ventured nothing gained. But only spend one lot keep the other one for later just in case they ask for it back.
