I just got a part-time job in retail and but I'm going to visit my dad overseas this summer for 2 months (june+july). Will I need to quit in june, or can I ask for a temporary leave, so when i come back in august, my job will still be there?

I would suggest, please make an appt. (yes, an appt.) to sit down with your boss, explain the situation-plans to go overseas and for how long, and why-to see your dad. Ask the boss what he/she thinks of the possibility of you coming back to your job when you come back from being overseas. The reason I suggest making an appt. - is because the boss is probably pretty busy-and it should take about 10-20 min. to talk it over. And it is best if uninterrupted. And after or before your shift. Take care.
