I am 56. I have retired twice already. That is to say I have two pensions. I am somewhat tired of working. I have no financial obligations.

I am successful at work, they want me to stay. I have committed to an additional year.

How do you know when to quit?

Am I being stupid or what?

if you think that the bordum of retirement isn't for you yet keep working you could always work part time, you are still young, you could work for ten more years yet if you wanted to, if you don't want to work anymore and it isn't necessary then go ahead and quit.

You are not stupid if you enjoy what you are doing. If you don't enjoy your job, and have the financial resources to retire, why wait?
