What do you think about Myspace? Is it safe?

I hear people getting killed by Myspace, but I also hear its great. What do you think about it, and will I get killed?????

I think myspace has taken some pretty good pre-cautions for its members, like if you are under the age of 16 (I think) your profile will only show to people that you have added. And if you want, you can choose to only add people that you know.

I think it's just as safe as any other website out there as long as you know how to keep yourself safe. Maybe some people have had unfortunate things happen when they do things like meet people on the internet, but this could happen anywhere else on the internet as well.

Here are some basic rules to follow to keep yourself safe:
1.) Only talk to people you know.
2.) If some one looks suspicious, don't add them.
3.) Do NOT give out any personal information no matter how well you think that you know them.
4.) If you do meet some one off the internet (which I strongly advise against) make sure that you take an adult with you and meet in a public place.

I think the bigger problem with myspace, as I have seen with a few of my friends that have them, is that it makes it much easier to compare oneself with other people or to have people judge you. This can really lower your self-esteem if you let it.

However, myspace can be fun and its a good way to communicate with friends that you see often as well as the ones that you don't. If you think you want to put in the time to keep up with one, and make sure that you aren't doing anything stupid, then you should stay pretty safe.

Myspace can be non-safe. But it is really your choice if you add people you don't know and talk to them then something bad might happen. But Me and my friends just talk to each other and our friends from other schools and stuff.

Myspace is safe if your safe you see if you can say to yourself that you will not go out with anyone who you meet online i say go for it and if u think otherwise than don't

LMFAO.....I have never heard of people getting killed on my space.....I think it is safe.......Just put your profile on private and no one can see what it reads. Also don't just accept any1 to be your friend. You don't know who that might be.

put your profile on private (security settings)
