Well, I know a boiled egg spins faster than a raw one. The reasoning is that the insides of a boiled egg are solid and so they're sort of "attached" to the inertia of the shell that you spun. The raw egg has liquid inside, so when you spin the egg (and I would assume rolling it would do the same) the liquid doesn't start spinning the same way. It takes time to catch up to the spinning/rolling.
