I know what they do with them,if the family doesn't take them home and bury them, they put them in a big freezer then throw them in the dumpster. sad ;(

They throw them out at the dump, least that is what they do here. It's pretty gross, I had to haul a dead cow to the dump and there is a dead pit in the very back. It was a Friday, so the shelter had sent everything out to be put down, and it was so sad and gross, lots of dogs and cats just tossed in there like so much garbage. After the stink gets out of hand, the dump guys will go shovel dirt over them to bury the entire mess. I think if more people saw that, they might think twice about breeding more unwanted pets. Probably not though.

Sometimes they disposed of them for you, sometimes they give you the body to dispose of however you see fit. I've done it both ways.

But my ex used to be a garbage man and he said that his worst stop was the vet's because of the bodies in the dumpster. EWW.

I thought they either gave them back to the owner, or cremate them.

I think what happens to them is they either get incinerated or given back to their owners to be buried in a pet semetary. ; )

They burn them into ashes and then send them off to the dump, some places burry them... not many

they either bury them or cremate them...all dogs go to heaven... cats get nine lives LOL

i think they cremate them. its better than throwing them in the trash or burying 200 dogs....
