Is there any place inside my computer that keeps passwords?
I am having a hard time with those "alternative emails", "security questions"... Because most of them I have forgotten, since this never happened to my puter.

Is there any file or "dunnohowtocallit" place inside my computer that i can find passwords?

Thank you for your time and I truely appreciate your answer, ty.
Hugs,
Val.

IMPORTANT:
I downloaded something called Secret Explorer weeks ago but it seems to not refresh at all.
For instance: I made an yahoo account, on purpose to test this program, I even clicked that lil box saying remind me later (or something like that).
It seems it wont find anything, just the ones I know (duh!) and it wont refresh.
I need a gmail password and 2 yahoo passwords but the alternate emails are lost and I cant answer MY OWN answer for the security question. I might have changed it but it wont go through.
Please help me here, im a lil dummy for those techno matters and TRUELY need help!!!!
Thank you so very much

in a word, no.

they're not stored anywhere on your computer, they're stored on the individual servers of the sites you've signed up for - security questions and alternate email addresses are for everyone's protection and if you could retrieve all your passwords so easily, what's to stop anyone else doing the same?

EDIT:
as i've already suggested, you're wasting your time because those passwords simply aren't stored on your pc and the many many programs which can be downloaded only look for passwords in unencrypted cookies, or in memory which is emptied every time you reboot. online passwords will not be recovered by any program.

Not that I know of no. I have sticky notes though. Every time I create a account I put all the info for that account in Sticky Notes. Or you could type it into word pad and save it. Its easy to keep everything organized like that.

Well if you are asking for what to do in the future,

1. open up microsoft word/ notepad/ wordpad or anything like that, it doesnt matter just pick whatever you are pretty okay with using.

2. open a new document and title it "Passwords" so you know what it is.

3. Put the site then the password (i.e. Yahoo- Password, Myspace- Password, etc.)

4. click save, and then go to where all your main folders are. click new folder, and name it homework, or spreadsheets or something boring, but its secretly where you can keep this page.

5. click save and title it something like "pass project" or somethign where you will know what it is and you wont delete it by accident later. but also disguise the name a bit so if some nosey person finds it they wont be tempted to look.

6. everytime you join a site just go whatever program you used to make it, click open and find the document, and then add this site and password to the list.

7. next time you find yourself forgetting what your password was, pull this document up and you'll be VERY happy you did it!

Now if you're talking about previous accounts you've created,
sometimes you can have the website email the password, but other than that ive never seen a way to pull up old passwords. If this is the case, sorry I couldn't help!!!
