typ·i·cal (tÄp'Ä-kÉl) Pronunciation Key
adj.
1. Exhibiting the qualities, traits, or characteristics that identify a kind, class, group, or category: a typical suburban community.
2. Of or relating to a representative specimen; characteristic or distinctive.
3. Conforming to a type: a composition typical of the baroque period.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
If most people weren't "typical", then the word wouldn't mean what it means.
Besides, not all regions are like that. Where I'm from, the majority of the people aren't both tall and skinny, or even always blonde/tall/skinny.

I thnk the reason we are seeing more skinny people, is because people are taking an active role in the healthy lifestyle. Being skinny is not a fashion statement for me it is a lifstyle, I snowboard rockclimb and play squash, all very hard to do overweight and all very hard to do and not keep fit. With the exception of people fanatical about thier weight I think you have to take into account society turning toward the healthy image. Healthy choices are everywhere these days and I personally look around and enjoy seeing healthy people in control of thier choices

It's the way you look at people. We are all unique in our own ways.
