The one thing that I think defines this decade would be 9/11 and the iraq war definetey. But I am proud to say that like the 80's and 70's you will definetly be able to look back at old pictures from this time period and say "OMG what was I thinking! That is definetly the 00's."
The 90's too me didn't have that much of an influence on pop culture. It was just kinda Bla to me. Maybe cause I lived so much of it.

The Sorority Girl Outfit:
A white wife-beater, black cotton tights, and Ugg boots.
Complimented by a North Face fleece jacket in the fall and winter, and gynormous sunglasses when it's sunny (and most of the time when it's not). Finished off by an oversized purse, preferably with the Greek name of one's sorority appliqued in chunky pink letters.
Also, a general trend for over-the-top patriotic statements and a general creep towards right-wing neoconservative paranoia.
