For the average person, do you think it's odd for me to 23, and not really partier. I like to have a good time, but I don't really go out. The only place I really have in my town is a crappy bar that I used to work at. And if I did go to a party in my county or town it would probably be filled with meth, pot, and other drugs. Seriously, my rural county has a high percentage of meth use, there has been over 30 or so meth labs busted. The closet to going out I do is going on vacations during the summer. So do you think the average 20 something parties, or is that just something upper class rich kids do?

Taruun, that maybe a misconception that popular culture is making us believe. And I wasn't trying to say that all parties are drug infested or that everyone that goes to a nightclub is hopped up on drugs. I know there are various ideas of parties, and get together. But even when I was at a university for one year, I only went to one big party/dance, and I danced. That was it. Basically I was wondering if the idea of a party girl was just something the rich and famous did, or was it starting to become a regular activities for the middle and lower classes. Particularly amongst the teens and young adults.

You're doing well, so don't worry about being odd. You're not. I partied for a long time, and it did get old after a while. I don't care to do it anymore. To me, going to bars is nothing but a game....men trying to pick up women or vice-versa, one way or another. Same way going to a club and dancing.......same game, different place...just people looking to get laid. There is nothing wrong with being a "homebody", and you'll get a lot less heartache with it, plus you'll save a lot of money in the longrun. Best of luck to you.

Young people love to party and have fun. These days, drugs are a problem. I can understand why you might not want to hang with them all the time. Lots of the druggies are not rich upper class. In fact, quite the opposite.

No, I'm 21 and I HATE parties. They are just pointless wastes of time. Went to one and got bored quickly. Went to a famous party and still got bored. They just don't offer me anything I need.
