I mean i have no problem with whatever a person wants to post or whatever, and i certainly am not the jealous type.

but it can get annoying when some people (usually women) get more blog posts, more visitors, and more feedback on their pages for basically doing nothing at at, when here i am trying to get some people's recognition as an artist and a person with actual talent. Not a person putting up pics of myself for the enjoyment of people. Nothing wrong with putting up a pic or whatever, but some do it for the wrong reasons.
Women tend to get more feedback on their pages than people like me do: a young black hopefully one day entrepreneur who is trying to rise above the neighborhood i grew up in.
Some may say there is talent in sex, but not much. and certainly not as much talent as i put into my artwork.

Sex may generate more popularity, but talent last a lot longer.

It's like some of these pop singers out today who really can't sing, but they are young and attractive and they have slick videos and dance moves. They are all hype right now, but can you imagine them being popular when they are 60 years old.

On the other hand, you take a singer who really has talent, and they will be around performing their music for a long time.

Keep on working on your artwork, and keep on learning, exploring, and growing as an artist because it will pay off and you will have staying power long after the pretty faces (women and men) have lost their charm.

I think it's just because this whole world is overly obsessed with sex. I wouldn't worry about it. Keep doing your artwork, I looked at your 360 and you have incredible talent. I'm an artist, too, but I don't post my work anymore. A friend innocently made a copy of one of my drawings for herself, but then someone got a hold of it and made copies for who knows how many people, and to me that's a stolen copyright. Anyway, I mostly do pastel and charcoal drawings of people's pets, and wildlife, also. I do make some money from it, but I agree that a lot of people don't seem to appreciate real talent. I think you have the right attitude, and definitely great talent. Keep your eye on a bright and positive future, and pay no attention to the world's warped view of things.
Keep using your talent, don't ever let it go to waste!

When I read the first part of your question, I was going to answer with "I don't know". But aftrer reading all of your question, I have to agree with you. It is usually women, some men as well. But what I try do is express how I am feeling at that moment. As a mother of 5, I try to get across to people that I am still sexy regardless of being a mother. I am first and foremost a woman.
At the same time, I post backgrounds of things I love and that interest me. It may be of fairies or music, art, cartoon characters. I do understand what you are getting at though. And upon looking at your page, I think it is absolutely beautiful! You have true talent and one of the most true to heart pages I have ever seen on here!

Yeah, on occasion it would not yet in a great number of circumstances it does. at first, i imagine The Beatles can be a fashion to reveal that expertise would not continuously equivalent popularity. The band that is composed of ideas for a experienced band that were given common should be the White Stripes. i understand Meg White isn't the acceptable drummer contained in the international with assistance from any stretch of the mind's eye yet they actually make tremendous, ingenious track.

How true!!! But that's the sad state of affairs as it is today. In today's society, with the rat-race and fast pace of modern living; one has no time to indulge in achieving the impossible. They strive for immediate goals. Immediate gratification is enticing. What you see, is what you get.

There's no two ways about it. Nobody has the time to bother, to search or even put that extra latitude of efforts to appreciate the innermost beauty of art. Or to dissect the true essence of its meaning or message. Subminimal message. Or what's apparent to the naked eye.

In other words, p@ssy power! Heck with talent. Sex sells!

it taps STRAIGHT into the human psyche. humans must procreate, and we're drawn to the opposite sex subconsciously. we can't help it. it overrides logic. i hate it, too, but there it is. there IS hope, though. think about this: who would you rather get attention and recognition from, a person who can't appreciate art over (or at least in conjunction with) sex, or someone who has the intellect and self control to put aside their animal urges and see the TRUE talent someone has? it's not the quantity of hits on your website, it's the QUALITY. i'm an artist, too. i feel what you're feelin' man. keep looking for more venues to post your work. think how to creatively advertise yourself.

Sorry hon, sex sells. It is unfortunate and totally not fair! But it is the life that we have to live with right now and as long as we are happy within ourselves who cares what "they" are doing. You simply have to work a little bit harder than everyone else. There are people out there who recognize talent and not just looks...believe me. Don't compare yourself to anything and move on from this.

Props up to you! I hope you go far in life buddy! I have always wondered that. I guess it's just the fact of that everyone is surrounded by sex. TV, Magazines, Internet, Books, etc, etc. And Talent just fallls behind. That used to be the thing back then, but now it's all the raging hormones people have............

OMG!!! I have been wondering the same thing!!! It is really irritating! It is bad to think you have to show some skin to get attention! It is really outrageous, me to, I am not the person to be showing myself for recognition, I want someone to know me for my mind first! It does make you feel bad to feel like you have to work harder at being who you really are when someone else flashes a tit and boom they got whatever! I know exactly how ya feel! that is so deep and so truthful! :)
