A couple of things work very well. The first is a spray from the DIY/hardware store called Krud Kutter. It kills any stain (even dried paint) and is great on wax.

The other is the old fashioned wax cutter...ammonia. A capful in a sinkful of hot water will remove any wax.

Let jar soak in the kitchen sink in really hot water for about half an hour,,then remove, should be able to peal wax out of jar without fighting with it,,,Good Luck

Boil water into the jar, wax should melt and float to the top. Leave the jar for a few hours and when you come back the water will have cooled and the soild wax will be floating on top.. thats the easiest method... theres more... to tried click on the link... i thought of this but I wanted to make sure and more tips for you... so i earch it for you if you havent already done it... take care...

use a hair dryer to melt it.........but you have to be careful, heat the wax not the jar because you can break the jar if you heat it too much....

Heat or cold will work ,place in the freezer and it will chip away or heat in hot water and scrape or pour depending on the temp

i'd try really hot water and wiper with paper towels
