What type of fish is it? Most fish dont give birth but lay eggs. If it is a type that does give live birth and you want to keep babies alive put it in a separate tank as the other fish will have atasty snack if you dont. As soon as it has the babies, remove it as well as it will eat them also. Provide lots of vegetation in the tank for them to hide in so they can grow large enough to have achance as they will feed on each other. The good news is one guppy (for example) cna have hundreds of babies at once so survival of the fittest is'nt a bad thing.

if you have another tank ya put the fish by itself and if you dont wait until she has the eggs then once they did put them in a big fishbowl. then when they do put the mother back in the tank.
good luck!

you dont really need to do anything else. fish take care of themselves in the wild so anything else would be extra treatment

That's the best thing to do, otherwise once they are born they will be eaten by the others.
