Within less than a year he married Sage Bonnie Humphrey. How old is Sage Bonnie Humphrey? Is this a case of Tony using an older woman for money and support for his lean years and then dumping her for a trophy wife after he made it big?

How is it that you assume the older woman was just for money? An older woman also has more wisdom, serenity, judgment, compassion, all sorts of things it takes time to develop.

When a man falls in love with an older woman, he knows the relationship will change over time. Men and women age differently, and a woman at the age of 50 cannot be particularly attractive sexually to a man at the age of 40. But a woman at the age of 30 certainly can.

The only problem I can see is the monogamy requirement. If polygamy was legal, he could add the 30-year-old to the family without losing the love and companionship of the 50-year-old. A younger man might join the group as well, and they could create what Robert Heinlein called a "line marriage." That is, a sort of corporate entity that added younger members as they felt comfortable, creating a large family where children would rarely be orphaned because they had half a dozen parents.

And for that matter, why should anyone have to "dump" anyone else?

Well, only Tony knows... but I'm guessing that his interests changed over time and the thing that first attracted him to an older woman sort of died (his parents divorced when he was young and then his mom remarried several times- maybe he was looking for a 'mother figure'- who knows??) [see the Wikipedia link below]. It's interesting to note that he and Becky, his first wife were married for 15 yrs... I doubt that he'd stick with her that long if all he was interested in was her money. But, like I said, only Tony can really know... and he likely won't say!
