Although I have installed Sims 2 on my PC, I have lost CD1, required to play. Can I install Sims 2 pets (or other expansion packs) and play without the original CD?

So does that mean I dont need the cd's for the original sims2 during the installation of the expansion pack?

If you have it fully installed then you can just install Pets or Nightlife or whatever and use that CD. You don't need the original disc at all as long as it was installed properly. In fact you HAVE to play with the Pets or University or whatever CD and can't play with just the original game CD anymore once the expansion is installed.

you have to install sims 1 and sims 2 to play sims 2 expansion pack, so yes you will need the cd's

if u have installed the original on your pc, well then, if it asks you for the cd, then yes, if it doesnt then no. but..it has to be installed on the pc 1st.

Yes, you can, each time you play you just use whatever disc you installed last.
