if you don't want someones honest opinion just say so. by asking a question you will get different answers.like if you say Bears or Colts and you like the Colts> Whjy give thumbs downs to those who say Bears?

I don't know it is a waste of time to do it to all the answersr, I only do it the the stupid ones or wrong answers.

Cause most people already have an idea of what answer they want before they post the question. Plus, how do you know it was them? Anyone can give a thumbs down.

I hear ya. If you ask the question than you have to be prepared for all sorts of opinions. So why thumbs down on the opinions you disagree with? I'm not sure. I usually thumbs down on one word answers for lack of effort and answers that aren't answers at all....

I am thinking its not always the asker who is putting thumbs down on the answers, could be, quite likely, that it is other answerers trying to sabotage.

Probably because they already have an answer that they are looking for...but...I think that it is usually other answerers that give the thumbs down...
