o just go to your eye doctor, dont talk ot us about it. People look good with or without glasses.
Just make sure you use the contacts correctly and you have no problems. It takes practice and after you taken them out and put them in it becomes natural to you and there will be no fear.

I started wearing contacts about 6 months ago and I love it - mostly. For the most part I don't really notice them during the day. If I take an antihistamine then my eyes will be drier and I have to use lubricating drops more often, but this is a minor quibble.
The only thing I really don't like about contacts is putting them in and taking them out. Mainly because I have big fingers. However, I have yet to hurt my eye by putting contacts in or taking them out.
Mostly I love the freedom of being able to see faces across a room rather than a flesh colored blob. I still have the glasses as a backup and it's not like I have to wear the contacts every day if I don't feel like it.

Itll take you a while to get used to the contacts in your eyes as well as putting them in and taking them out, but your optomitrist will go over all of that with you. You will probably wear a trial pair for a week to make sure that they are the right perscription and that you are comfortable in wearing them. Then go back in to the doctor to make any corrections or get the final perscription.
Id say go in and just try them out! You dont have to buy any if you dont want them after the trial time but at least you will have tried them and known. It took me about 3 weeks before I truly got used to taking me out and putting them in...but they feel very natural...like nothings in my eye at all...give it a shot!

once you have them on, you forget they are in there. just dont rib your eyes, or they could fall out. if you are worried about the irritation facot, go for some moisture retaining lenses, such as acuvue hydraclear or something. i have been wearing contacts for 8 years, and i would never go back to glasses. You wont poke your eye out. a few times practicing and you can do it without a mirror

I've been wearing them for 35 years and wouldn't go back to glasses for anything. I wear my (hard) contacts everywhere...to play sports, to ride horses, on boats (but not if I'm getting in the water). The biggest problem I've had is that they got scratched and I had to get new ones. Contacts are great - I highly recommend them.

Contacts are fine if you spend most of your time indoors. I had problems with dirt blowing in my eyes, and irritating my contacts, and so went back to glasses. Sounds like you just need a pair that fit well.

It's normal to feel weird about contacts at first. After about a week of fumbling around with them - it's the easiest thing in the world. Bausch & Lomb Oasis Contacts are fantastic - they are new - and I LOVE THEM! After a while you will wonder how you lived without them!

No, not irrational. Def. go to an eyedoctor. They can try different types of contacts to try and find one that works for you.
Good Luck
