It all comes down to whether you're superstitious or not. I don't believe in luck, so I'd say no.

If you ARE superstitious, breaking a mirror is considered to cause seven years of bad luck. Other things are considered unlucky:

-A black cat crossing your path
-Walking under ladders
-The number thirteen
-Being left-handed
-stumbling (said to be a sign you're about to die)
-having red hair
-opening an umbrella inside

Combat these unlucky things with the following lucky charms:

-Hanging a horseshoe above your door
-finding a four-leaf clover
-carrying a rabbit's foot
-knocking on wood (do that when you say something of good fortune, that witches don't hear and take your good fortune away)
-throw salt over your shoulder

Good luck!

EDIT: One more thing.

Since this is in music, you might say that smashing a mirror is NOT bad luck, and will actually cure a deaf, dumb & blind boy, so that he can start a cult. (Though I suppose that was bad luck for Sally Simpson...)

yes smashing a mirror is bad-luck. If u do break a mirror all u have to do is bury the pieces and the bad-luck will go away.

If you believe in superstitions then yes, breaking mirrors is bad luck. Also bad luck is having a black cat crossing your path (not true, I had a black cat for ten years and I was fine, or was I?), walking under a ladder, stepping on a crack, throwing salt behind your back, going out of routine, and making loud noises while your dad is asleep, trust me on this one.
But if you are not superstitious then luck does not exist, only probability.

If you believe in that stuff, yes....7 years worth. Other back luck jinx kind of actions include a black cat crossing your path, walking under a ladder, spilling salt, stepping on cracks, opening an umbrella in a building, and anything to do with the numbers 13 or 666. In theater, there are so many you'd have to find a list, but a few are saying "MacBeth" on stage, carrying a Bible on stage, whistling on stage....

Some people believe that breaking mirrors, walking under ladders, and having black cats cross your path is bad luck. I am personally not superstitious and I don't believe in luck, so I don't believe that.

not really in the right catagory. but yes it's supposed to be bad luck. Don't really know if it's true. Also walking under ladders. black cats crossing your path, not throwing spilt salt over your shower, not saying bless you afters someone sneezes. I could go on and on.

I doubt it. perchance the merely reason human beings have undesirable success after breaking their replicate is because they can't see themselves in it anymore and their hair is tousled and they frequently look as if crap.
